We have a lot of great activities coming up this year for you guys!
October
October 24th at 6:00 - Admissions Counselor Speaker from West Virginia School of Medicine Wednesday, in the Laurel Room of the Mountainlair.
October 29th at 7:00 - Guest Speaker, Dr. Price, Dean of Admissions of WVU School of Dentistry will be speaking to students regarding admission to dental school. Bring any of your pre-dental friends!! This will be taking place in Room 106 of Oglebay
October 29 6-7 PM - “How to Get a Job in WV” - Rhododendron Room, Mountainlair sponsored by Career Services Center. This will occur at 7:00 in Hatfields
November
November 12th at 7:00 - Meeting then Medical School Student Panel in Hatfields
November 26th at 7:00 - Meeting then speaker from Career Counseling Services regarding interview prep.
November 27 6-7 PM - “How to get to Medical School” in E. Moore Hall sponsored by Career Services Center.
November 29th AMREF will be having a benefit dinner that evening from 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Trinity Episcopal Church. Stop by anytime during that period for a buffet styled dinner. It costs $5 for your first trip though the buffet, $3 for subsequent trips. Food will be donated by local businesses and restaurants. Proceeds will go to AMREF USA, the United States' office of the African Medical and Research Foundation, an African organization that helps build sustainable health programs in East Africa. Two points for members who attend the dinner (regardless for how long you are there).
November 30th from 8-11 - Life Science Snowball (Semi-formal) at Bent Willeys. You may get your semi-formal ticket at the meeting on the 26th or at the Benefit Dinner on the 29th. For those of you who want a ticket but cannot come to the meeting or dinner, you can meet me Wednesday the 28th from 4:00 – 4:30 or Thursday, November 29th from 2:30-3:00 in the Vandela Lounge of the Mtn. Lair. YOU MUST HAVE A TICKET TO GET IN THE SEMI-FORMAL, NO EXCEPTIONS.
This will be the last event taking place for Aed this semester.

January 28th - Meeting and a guest speaker (podiatrist).
February
February 11, 2008, 7:00 pm - Meeting in Hatfield’s Annex- Mountainlair
Tuesday, February 12th at 4:00pm – Dinner at the Rosenbaum House. We need Pasta, Marinara Sauce, Dressing (Ranch, Italian, or French), Boxed Cookies, Drinks, Monetary Donations will also be accepted. One point for each item brought in and two points for those who help cook. We need 10 volunteers.
Wednesday, February 13th at 7:00 in the Laurel Room - Physician’s Assistant - WVAPA Past President and a practicing PA from Charleston
Saturday, February 23th from 11:00 - 3:00, The Morgantown Fun Factory and the WVU School of Pharmacy are hosting a Health and Safety fair in the Community Rooms of the Mountaineer Mall. We need 8 volunteers.
Monday, February 25th at 7:00 - Meeting in Room 117 Oglebay Hall.
March
Tuesday, March 4th from 4:00-7:00 at the Rec Center – Health Fair at the Student Rec. Center.
March 10th at 7:00– Tentative Event – Dr. Cather to speak on admissions to medical school.
Monday, March 17th at 7:00 in the Rhododendron Room of the Mtn. Lair – Marshall University forum.
Tuesday, March 18th from 10am - 4pm - Stalnaker Hall American Red Cross Blood Drive.
April
April 11-12th – Relay for Life! Sign up for AED’s team.
Monday, April 14th – AED Elections
Friday, April 18th – “Protect your Balls” dodgeball tournament at the Rec Center.
Sunday, April 19th – Joining National Memebers Inductions, at Waterfront Hotel.
